The Koi (Bengali কই মাছ), is a common fish in the Bengali platter. The Koi is a typical Asian fish and is quite popular in many countries such as India, Thailand, Vietnam etc. The Scientific name of the fish is Anabas testudineus, it is also known as the climbing parch.
The Vietnamese Koi is a popular fish in Bengal, especially due to its freshness. The Koi fish can survive even without water for several hours, this makes it possible to get fresh fish at home. This adds to the attraction of the fish.
The particular variant of Koi we supply is known as Vietnamese Koi, the fish is produced through pisciculture in natural and artificial ponds. We purchase the fish fresh and live, the fish is cut and packed after receiving an order. We do not refrigerate or store this fish.
Serving the fish fresh brings its special challenges, the following conditions are applicable for Koi fish.
1. The fish is delivered the next day after the order. Same day delivery is not possible.
2. The fish is not delivered on Sundays and the days on which wholesale market is closed.
3. The fish is procured and cut only after receiving the order. Unlike our other products, this fish cannot be returned by the customer after purchase.
4. We receive the fish alive, but since we deliver it to you after cutting and cleaning, you do not get live fish.
