The Dheki Shak as it is known in Siliguri, is a common green vegetable relished by the locals. The vegetable is found in North and North East India and especially the himalayan states. The vegetable is known as Muikhonchok in Kokborok language, it is known as Dhekia Shak in Assam, in Darjeeling and Sikkim, the nepalese people call it Niyuro.
